Services / Cloud & Hybrid Infrastructure
Cloud and hybrid,
moved in waves.
Servers and applications to Azure, AWS, a hosted VMware platform or back on premises, planned from real dependency data and moved in waves with a rollback for each one.

Cloud & Hybrid Infrastructure
What we do
Migrations that start with what you run, not with the target platform.
- 01Discovery and dependenciesInventory, performance data and network flows, so systems that talk to each other move together.
- 02Target designAzure landing zones, AWS VPCs or a hosted VMware tenancy: networking, identity, backup and cost controls in place before the first server moves.
- 03Wave planningWaves sized for a maintenance window, with test steps, a go/no-go point and a rollback for each.
- 04Rehost and replatformLift and shift with Azure Migrate, AWS replication or Veeam; web applications to Azure App Service and managed databases where it pays off.
- 05VMware-to-VMware movesTenancies moved between Cloud Director platforms or from a closing provider, with replication seeded ahead of cutover.
- 06Cost after the moveRight-sizing, reservations and tagging so the first cloud bill does not become the reason to move back.

Linux and Windows servers moved to Azure IaaS and web applications to Azure PaaS for a UK payments company; AWS EC2 and S3 delivered for MSP customers.
How an engagement runs
Five steps, written down
Every engagement follows the same steps, with written plans and a rollback for each change.
- 01AssessUnderstand your goals, environment and challenges.
- 02ArchitectDesign the right solution for your needs.
- 03MigratePlan and execute with minimal disruption.
- 04OptimiseImprove performance, resilience and cost efficiency.
- 05SupportOngoing expertise to keep you secure and ahead.
Deliverables
What you receive
Most migrations start somewhere like this. Discovery is what turns a cable closet into a wave plan. Every engagement ends with documents and code you own.
- An inventory with dependencies and performance data
- A target design document
- A wave plan with rollback steps
- Cutover runbooks and test results per wave
- A cost baseline for the new platform
Experience
Experience behind it
From the founder’s own project history. Clients are described, not named.
- Azure for a payments companyMoved designated web applications to Azure as SaaS and PaaS, and Linux and Windows servers to Azure IaaS.
- SQL consolidationUpgraded on-premises SQL Server to 2017 and moved databases onto a new SQL cluster in stages.
- Two data centres, four continentsRan production and DR data centres in London supporting branches in France, Sweden, New Zealand and Australia.
FAQ
Questions we hear
Is moving to the cloud cheaper?
Not by default. Steady workloads are often cheaper on owned or hosted VMware; variable or new workloads usually suit Azure or AWS. We cost both before anything moves.
How long does a migration take?
Discovery and planning usually take two to four weeks. Each wave then fits a maintenance window; a 40-server estate is typically four to six waves.
What if a wave goes wrong?
Every wave has a go/no-go point and a tested rollback. The source stays intact until the wave has run cleanly for an agreed period.
